SvxLink is a project that develops software targeting the ham radio community. It started out as an EchoLink application for Linux back in 2003 but.
Please note: This app is for licensed Amateur Radio operators only. See www.echolink.org for more information.EchoLink for iOS provides access to the EchoLink network for validated EchoLink users. You can use this app to connect to the EchoLink system from almost anywhere, using an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. If you are not already a validated EchoLink user, you will be required to register (using your Amateur Radio callsign and a password of your choice) the first time you run the app.
Please see the iPhone FAQ at www.echolink.org.If you are interested in becoming a licensed Amateur Radio operator, see www.arrl.org for more information.EchoLink is a registered U.S. Trademark of Synergenics, LLC. CBRA Maryland, No Problem with this App since it started. The registration process went well and used many repeaters all over the world. This app sounds very clean going into the local repeater. One time this app had trouble but it was due to the ham club repeater problems which I could receive fine but the repeater didn’t hear my TX audio and the repeater club technician fixed the issue on the repeater. There was another issue with another local repeater and the other repeater owner fixed it.
So I give the developers here a high five and a big THANKS because it’s great to use my IPhone on vacation to get into our club repeater! It’s more convenient than Yaesu’s digital Wires X and not sinking money into equipment when all you have to do is pick up the phone with EchoLink! WINCHESTERJAKE, Echo Link. Definitely not DstarI have been trying to work with a D.forever. It is so difficult to try to talk to anybody on the star. But Echolink is a dream it easy to do. I was in Germany and so easy to pick up my phone connect to EchoLink and talk to my Ham Radio partner is back in Arkansas.

Echolink is Operational on 443.225 & 443.150If you haven't gotten involved with Echolink you should check it out. If you have a valid Amateur Radio License, you can use Echolink to have QSO's all over the world without the worry of antennas or power. But the main reasons we added this feature was to:. improve communications in the areas of The Villages that are on the fringes of the repeater. to provide a means for our seasonal members to stay in touch with the Club, their friends and the Monday night Rag Chew Net at 7PM on the 443.225 repeater.Echolink software is a free download and easy to install.
The software and full set of instructions are available at. Please give it a try. We have resources available to assist you if necessary.NOTE: The issues we had pending for the iPhone have apparently been resolved with the change of server that is now hosting the echolink app.
